Welcome to week number 4! (Title of this week is courtesy of a phrase my husband has been jokingly saying about us flying out today)
This week consists of:
Friday, Jan 23 – Thursday, Jan 29
Home Projects
Hello again! If you were with us last week you’ll know that I had to put off doing home projects because I was trying to finish a sweater for Friday the 30th. While I did try to do that, it didn’t really work out that way. Mostly I just cleaned our house, and my mom and step-dad brought over a new bedroom set. But the big thing we started doing was painting a mural at my mom’s new house! We all love Disney, so here’s the beginning phase of her Disney mural!

Books
I finished Iron Flame on Saturday, Jan 24. Rented the audiobook from the Libby app, and finished it last night on Thursday, Jan 29. Afterwards, we’ll get started with our next books. However, this week for some reason, I had two different people ask to start a book club together. We won’t be meeting up in person very often if ever, but I did start and finish the book, Incidents Around the House, that my friend Rachelle asked about us reading together. I’ll write more about all three of these books in the book tab.

Fiber Arts
I’m sad to say that like most of my projects I take on with a deadline (I know, I should stop making deadlines for myself when it comes to crochet or knit), I was not able to finish the sweater I was working on before today. But I will still be working on it and I’ll just keep it for myself. However, once I realized there was no possible way I could finish the sweater without also allowing the house to go to sh!t (because of the three tornadoes that live here), I crocheted 2 balaclavas. The sweater was meant for our trip to New York, that we’re currently on a flight for (yes I wrote this the night before). I meant to give the sweater to Tom Felton. But realized that we also needed more coverage because it’s going to be SO COLD! So balaclavas for us instead ❤

Trips
If you’ve gotten this far! You know that our big secret trip I was eluding to was to New York for a night! We’re going specifically to see Tom Felton reprise his role as Draco Malfoy, in the Broadway Production of Cursed Child. If you are anyone who knows me, you know I’ve had a large space in my heart for Tom Felton. As a kid it was a childhood crush from the moment he introduces himself to Harry on the steps to the Great Hall. And now as an adult, I’d just flat out call it love and respect. SO, we’ll be seeing him perform. Hopefully I can get him to sign the copy of his autobiography, Beyond the Wand, after the show. We’ll also be checking out a few used book stores, some recommended eats (as we’re both huge foodies), some shops, and maybe even the Morgan Library and Museum. Stay tuned for next week when I post all the pictures of our trip in this section. I may even make an entire post just for the trip! Thank you for making it this far! Love you all!
