Just, WOW

Welcome to week number 5! This week consists of:
Friday, Jan 30 – Thursday, Feb 5.

Home Projects
We didn’t do much this week as was promised, just slowly cleaning up and trying to get rid of things that are just taking up space.

Books
This week I did finish reading Play Nice by Rachel Harrison. A scary, haunting book that I could not read once the sun went down. I’m an extreme scaredy-cat with anything paranormal. After reading it I’ve been scaring myself at night because my brain literally cannot give me any peace in the dark after I’ve experienced any form of scary thing. I always wonder why she (my brain) would do this to me when you’d think she’d be kind and not try to make me in constant fight or flight in the dark! Anyway, it truly was a good book and I do suggest giving it a go if you are interested in those kinds of things.

Fiber Arts
Ok, we’re all disappointed in not finishing the sweater I was hoping to give to Tom. But no worries, because I’ve convinced myself (husband pending) that we will be going back in April to see Tom in Cursed Child before he’s made his final appearance in May. So I have been working on the sweater still. We’re finally onto one of the sleeves, though I won’t finish the bottom ribbing of the body or the sleeves until after everything is finished. I’d like to stick to one form of knit before I move on to crocheting the ribbing on. (I prefer to make ribbing with crochet, y’all just have to be ok with the merge. ❤

Trips
There’s absolutely NO WAY I will be able to fit just the entire New York trip in this post. So I will be highlighting some things here but I’m going to make another post that has all the minute details of our time there from start to finish! Now to some highlights: I never believe anyone when they rave about a show/book/whatever. So when people talked about how great the show was, I thought yeah ok we’ll see. I literally bawled while we watched Cursed Child because it was so beautiful. Just simply for the fabric that they used with the dementors, how flowy it was and eerie it made them. Not to mention that just being there with my husband with nothing to worry about but the freezing weather, life was really great. And then we went outside to wait for a signature from Tom, (which we did get!) and it was 6 degree weather (felt like -2). We sat out there for 2 hours waiting for him to come out, it was a test of will. But that hot raising canes after was AMAZING! LOL.
There’s some truly great food that we tried, but I’ll only post some pictures and go into full detail in my later post! ❤ See you again soon, Tom!
