Back to the Grind

Hello all! This week consists of: Friday, February 21 – Thursday, February 27.
First I must apologize that I’m a day late to getting this update out!

Home Projects:
This week I finally started our middle daughter’s room. L loves purple and kitty cats, but she personally picked out this wallpaper last year when we originally painted the room a darker purple. This color is called, “Magical” by Glidden and it’s from home depot. It’s been a long time coming but after our AC unit broke last year and was leaking into her part of the roof; I found it extremely difficult to get passed the huge undertaking of replacing the roof. I’ll tell you I STILL hate how it looks, but its not sagging and yellow anymore, so there’s that. Eventually I’ll add a beadboard and beams to make it look nicer, but for now I’m just gonna spray over the unsightly seam with some wall texture spray and a bit of paint. That’ll have to do for now until we can put the extra money into it.

Books:
As promised I had to race through some books this week so I wouldn’t lose them in my Libby holds. The first is Rings of Fate by Melissa de la Cruz, that I kept seeing videos about and thought it was good, but it’s one of those books where the men and women in the book tell each other that they’ve never known anyone like the other, they’ve never been in love like they have with each other, even though they’ve only known each other for a couple days. It’s so silly/high school/middle school-esque. It was good, but it definitely was a bit of manufactured drama, not to say that I didn’t still cry during it LOL. The second book I finished was one I’ve seen forever: The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent. This one I really did like as my love for fantasy originally started with vampire books by Lyndsay Sands. The Serpent and the Wings of Night was the book I kept seeing everywhere that everyone said was a “canon event that can’t be interfered with” for reading after ACOTAR. It really was good and I enjoyed it, but I was pretty pissed about the semi betrayal at the end. And the guy saying something along the lines of, “I’ll make her my wh*re” to make sure people don’t know that he cares about her. I get trying to protect her, but why not use a different phrase. That made me mad. Anyway, I’m working on The Women by Kristin Hannah and I’ll say that it’s been incredible and extremely sad in a different way than I expected. Will update about it next week.

Fiber Arts:
Alright, I’ve really been making progress on this sweater. I’m 2 rows away from finishing the one sleeve and I work on it every day when we got to the gym (Mon-Fri) while we end in cardio on the bikes. I love it, I’m the it girl at the gym because I’ve noticed a few people who have said stuff about it or even stopped to talk to me and ask what I’m doing. We still haven’t bought any more tickets or flights so I can give it to Tom Felton, but I’m certain Josh will say yes because he makes sure I’m a spoiled Queen.

Trips:
Alright all, this passed weekend we didn’t go anywhere. The girls were a bit uhhhh mean? to us so we forced them to stay home with us all weekend instead of doing anything away from the house. We are coming up on a couple trips soon though, like L’s Yes Day with mommy, and then L’s actual birthday trip with the whole family!

As always, thank you all for getting this far! Love you! See ya next week! ❤
