NEW YORK: PART 2

Hello all! Sorry it’s been SOOOO long! I promised we’d get New York part 2 up. Life just gets in the way sometimes! D: ANYWAY! Let’s get into it! ❤ This was for day 2 of New York: Saturday, Jan 31.
So first things first, we had “breakfast” at a place called All’Antico Vinaio. I put quotes around breakfast because it wasn’t until around 11:30 that we ate, and it wasn’t breakfast food, it was more like lunch time, but what can you do. Anyway! We picked one sandwich and thank goodness because it was more than big enough for both of us. I’ll leave the menu down below, but we picked the La Schiacciata Del Boss. Which had prosciutto, pecorino, and truffle cream on it. It was DELICIOUS! The only gripe we both had was that with the huge dollops of truffle cream, it kind of overpowered the rest of the flavors. But when we opened it and made the cream more evenly spaced, it was perfect. I would absolutely go back and try this again. But I definitely want to try more of their other options. We also paired it with their peach tea and OMG I wanted to order a case of that peach tea for the house it was so delicious. But it was around $75 on amazon D:

Next stop was thinkcoffee, which was a wonderful little coffee shop and the coffees we got were both incredible. I can’t for the life of me remember the one that I picked, but Josh got the chai latte and it was also amazing. I also had a wonderful conversation with the gentleman who was ringing me up, because he had a mickey mouse hat on, and we started talking about that and Disney. He actually said that he was from Miami, so small little world to meet someone from Florida who moved to New York, while we were just running around.

Ok next place that we went was one that we were SO excited for. It’s a Michelin-recommended Shanghainese food restaurant that’s been on the recommended list for 9 consecutive years. Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings was SO good, we got a little bit of everything (nothing with seafood because Josh is allergic), and it was ALLLL amazing. I’ll leave the pictures down below as always, but we started with a cucumber salad, which was cool because you add your own sesame oil, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. We also had a sweet melon fruit tea that had little cubes of melon at the bottom, it was so refreshing and not overly sweet. For the main courses we got the Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings (HELLO! That’s what we’re here for!) and pan friend pork buns. The soup dumplings were AMAZING, but VERY hot if you’re not prepared for it. We were breaking them open into the little bowls provided, and then dipping the dumpling and fillings into the little soup/fat mixture. But the soup/fat by itself had that incredible umami flavor that really had me wishing I ordered more. The pan friend pork buns were my choice because I LOVE anything that’s wrapped in a cute little bun or dumpling, and these were also incredible. I definitely want to come back here when we make our return trip (still pending LOL).

NEXT STOP! The Morgan Library and Museum! As you all know, I LOVE reading, so it was our ultimate goal to allot a while to this Museum. It was truly stunning, and really made me wish that I too had a GIANT collection of books that would eventually become a library museum if I ever die. There were multiple floors that featured different artwork by people who both related to the Morgan’s as well as just other works. But the library was all I was truly interested in and could’ve stayed looking at all the titles for HOURS. Do you think he’d have romance/smut in his library if he were around today? I definitely do, this man was a collector. Anyways, here’s a BUNCH of pictures from this beautiful place! ❤

The Harry Potter Shop NY was our next destination, and truly an experience in itself. Getting to walk around and see all the different things scattered around was like being on Diagon Alley. I got two spirit jerseys there, that I’ll post pictures of down below. But man I could’ve spent thousands of dollars at this place and still not felt like I had all that I wanted.

Next stop was MINISO, because our three girls are obsessed with it. So we spent another hundred some dollars here just for random things for them.

And UNFORTUNATELY that was the end of our adventures at NY but we did get bumped to first class for the flight home and that was AWESOME! Probably the only time I’ll be able to personally afford going in first class LOL. Anyways! Until next time my friends, I’ll keep you updated on if we DO end up going back! ❤
