Birthday Break!

Hello all! I know it’s been over a week, and that this post is also coming late after not posting last Friday also! I promise I’ll be back on schedule for this upcoming Friday! Either way, this post will be focusing on two weeks between: Friday, March 5 – Thursday, March 19.

Home Projects:
Not much going on these passed two weeks, just been making a purge pile of all the junk that has been stored and not used in years. Or was too big that we couldn’t toss it. We donate what is still useable but everything else is getting trashed.

Fiber arts:
Still have been slowly working on the sweater. I’m nearly done with the length of the second sleeve. And after that, all that’s left is adding the ribbing along the bottom and the ends of the sleeves. I’m so excited! ❤

Books:
I’ve not finished a book in a while, unfortunately. I’ve been just spending time with the family, and it’s hard when it’s been Spring break and I want to spend it with everyone instead of being engrossed in something else so completely. Back on the wagon soon I promise! I have started Brimstone, which is good, and I still absolutely LOVE Anthony Palmini talking to me. But I was listening to it on my bestie’s Everand subscription, and I hated it because I’d click on my Shokz or my air pods and it would start playing, but I couldn’t press it again to pause it like I’m able to with Audible or Libby. That was so frustrating for me that I just put it down for a bit until I got the notification that I could finally borrow it from Libby after having to wait in the queue like 4 weeks. Anyway, we trudge on!
ALSO! Fair warning, I’ve been having the itch to start rereading Throne of Glass because it’s been so long since my last reread, and Sunrise on the Reaping just had it’s first birthday, so I’m gonna want to reread Hunger Games again. You may not be getting new book content for a tiny bit!

Trips:
Here’s the biggest reason why I was MIA for a while! Our little L had her YES DAY on March, 9. And then we celebrated her birthday with the whole family from Thursday, March 12-Sunday, March 15. We stayed at an air bnb this time that was really nice because we had way more room to spread out (as opposed to a Disney hotel). It had a small heated pool that the girls took advantage of every night, night swimming with the light on. And on Saturday and Sunday we spent our time at the community pool and lazy river. They did NOT want to leave. But on Thursday we went to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Which would’ve given me plenty to talk about here with the Flower and Garden Festival, but we weren’t there very long before it started pouring on us. So we went over to Hollywood studios with the skyliner, and rode on Toy Story Mania. Then back over to Epcot so we could get back to the car. The rain let up and we ended up just letting the girls swim.

Friday, we went to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. At Animal Kingdom, we got the new passholder magnet, went on the safari, watched the Lion King show, and did river rapids since it’s L’s favorite ride. So she got to go on it three times that week. She was so excited. Then we went over to Pandora for some snacks, and so I could get my little surprise egg Ikran who I absolutely LOVE. Magic Kingdom was running around like normal, getting the rides that the girls typically want to go on, and then we stayed and watched the fireworks and the starlight parade. It was too late for night swimming then since we got back around midnight.

Saturday, we went to a couple of the Disney’s Character Warehouse stores, that have a bunch of Disney stuff marked down significantly. The girls were so excited to get to get a bunch of stuff for a fraction of the price. Next time we’ll try one of the other places that’s a bit further away. But I’ll post pictures of some of the stuff we brought back. Afterwards, we got ready and headed to the pool until it started thundering.
Sunday was just packing up the bnb and then heading back to the pool and lazy river until everyone was ready to head home. The bees were insane, all over the place because of the sugary drinks and food by the pool. Also they had fried pickles which are an absolute favorite, and the girls enjoyed their kid-friendly strawberry daquiri’s by the pool. They truly live the high life lol.

Until next time my loves!
